DONOR OF THE YEAR (2020 - 2021)

S&C Electric Company

S&C Electric is a valued educational partner for CMSA. They have been a  long time- sponsor for our award- winning robotics team.  Because of S&C’s contributions,   CMSA was able to secure chromebooks for each of our students before we faced this COVID pandemic. Our students were prepared for this E-learning reality partly due to their commitment to support their local community. S &C has also generously donated to our $100K Challenge Matching Grant.  CMSA considers S&C as part of our CMSA Family.  We are grateful for their ongoing support, and applaud their continued support of worthy organizations in our Rogers Park community.

S&C, with global headquarters in Chicago, is applying its heritage of innovation to address challenges facing the world’s power grids and is thus shaping the future of reliable electricity delivery. The mission of employee-owned S&C is to continually develop new solutions for electricity delivery, fostering the improved efficiency and reliability required for the intelligent grid.

DONOR OF THE YEAR (2019 - 2020)
Since 2009, Invest For Kids has raised nearly $14 million to benefit 60 charitable organizations reaching over 80,000 children. CMSA is honored to have received a grant from the Invest For Kids Foundation which provided much needed funding to enhance an already rigorous curriculum committed to changing the trajectory of students’ lives. This grant allowed us to expand our STEM courses; further enrich our social emotional skill-building; and enhance our personalized learning approach.  Their support enables us to continue closing the opportunity gap by providing equitable access to unlock the potential of every learner. As a local neighborhood school, we are proud to serve the highly diverse families which make up our wonderful Rogers Park. We are very grateful to Invest For Kids and honor them by featuring their organization as “Donor of the Year 2019-2020”.
